Important notice

Introduction of Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) in all assport Offices in India and Missions/Posts Abroad.

This is to inform that, in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) guidelines, Government of India have already introduced Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) in all the Passport Offices in India and some Missions/Posts abroad. Indian nationals residing abroad, may henceforth, apply online using internet facility to fill in the required passport services viz. Renewals, Fresh Passport, Additional Booklet etc.

The Passport applicants ( ie. Indian nationals residing abroad including those in Morocco) may apply online in the following website : https://passport.gov.in

Applicants who log on to the above website for passport services may choose the Passport Office in Delhi, as the new Machine Readable Passports will be printed in Delhi and dispatched to this Mission by courier. After filling up personal details, a web file number and application form shall be generated and can be printed by the applicant. In case applicants are unable to get the printout of the filled-up form due to any reason, the same can be printed later by entering Web File Number and date of Birth.

The printed application form downloaded from the website should be submitted to this Embassy with following documents :

1) Present Passport in original.
2) Six photographs (size 4 x 4 cms)
3) Specimen signature in the box provided in the application form should not be more than 1.5 cms in height and 4.5 cms in width.
4) Proof of Residence viz., Resident Permit or local ID Card (original and photocopy)
5) A Sworn Affidavit stating that they have not acquired any other foreign Nationality (only in the case of long-term residents abroad)
6) The required fees of Dhs. 455/- for 36 pages passport and Dhs.570/- for 60 pages passport to be deposited in the Embassy along with the copy of downloaded application form.

 

Fresh passport

An Application in EA(P)-I form should be submitted to the Consular Section along with the old passport and four copies of recent passport size photographs, a copy of local identity card (or any other document to prove residence within area of jurisdiction of this mission) along with and the requisite Passport fees. 

Fresh Passport to Minor children below the age of 18 year: An application in EA(P)-I form should be submitted to the Consular Section, as above, along with a sworn affidavit signed by both parents stating that they have no objection to issue of a passport to the minor child, and a copy of the child's birth certificate duly translated in English or Hindi, along with the necessary fees.

Additional Booklets have been done away with and are no longer issued 

Renewal

Application for renewal of expired / shortly expiring passports should be made on EA(P)-2 form, along with the necessary fees.

Issue of duplicate passport in lieu of lost or stolen passport

An application in EA(P)-I form should be submitted to the Consular Section along with four copies of recent passport size photographs, original along with a copy, duly translated, of the police report, proof of identity (ID card, driving licence, etc) and the requisite Passport fees. In addition to the application in EA(P)-I form, the applicant must, on a plain paper, state clearly indicating the circumstances under which the passport was lost / stolen. 

Miscellaneous Services on Indian passports

An application in EA(P)-2 form should be submitted to the Consular Section clearly indicating the nature of services required. Two recent passport size photographs along with the passport and requisite fees are to be submitted with the application form.
